Warriors compete at Parkstone Little B 2019; Behnke places sixth

The Fulda/Murray County Central wrestlers headed to Parkston, South Dakota this past weekend for the Parkston Little B. Fifteen teams were in attendance with West Sioux taking the team title. The Warriors landed in the 13th spot earning 19.5 points on the day followed by Andes Central and Wolsey Wessington.

In Landen Like-Bonstetter’s first round at 106, Gunner Brueggeman (miller/Highmore-Harrold) won by fall in 3:07.

At 145 pounds, Rylan Behnke (F/MCC) received a bye. In the quarterfinal round Behnke won by fall over Kurtis Mooney (Bonnet County) at the 2:00 p.m. mark. Sterling Rausch (Webster) won a 18-8 major decision over Behnke in the semifinal round. Behnke headed to the consolation semi match where he was pitted against Tyler VanDenOever (Central Lyon/George-Little Rock) who defeated Behnke by a 9-4 decision. The 5th place match found Behnke up against Ty Beyer (Howard) who caught him for the fall at 1:37.

Jesse Ray was caught and pinned in his first match by Kory Van Oort (West Sioux) In the consolation round Ray received a bye. The consolation round 2 Christian Kuball (F/MCC) won by fall over Jesse Ray of F/MCC at 2:47.
