New kidney gives young couple a look on the bright side!

What happens to a young couple when calamity hits them head on? One could ask Robyn and Tony Moger that question and their immediate response would be that others are much worse off than they are. But. And, the but is what this story is about. Sitting with Tony and Robyn recently in the coffee area of the Murray County Hospital, there is laughter and tears, sometimes at the same time. The two took some time to share their experiences of the last couple of years when Tony found himself fighting to gain ground on his illness so he could withstand a kidney transplant.

It was in August of 2010 that Tony was diagnosed with IgA nephropathy. He explained that he hadn’t been feeling well, really thought he had a bad cold and had gone to see a doctor hoping for something to kick it out of his system. His body had something else going on though, not just a cold. “There was shortness of breath, I was tired, I just wasn’t feeling well,” Tony said.
