Joe Scott and Hannah Alkire joined forces in 1998 and have since become internationally acclaimed. They are bringing their Gitjo/Cello duo to the Murray County Central Auditorium on Monday, November 14 at 7:30 p.m. under the auspices of the Prairie Music Concert Association.
Joe Scott performs on a GITJO, a unique custom-designed double neck guitar/banjo combination created exclusively by Joe and called by USA Today as “a beautiful harp-like sounding instrument….like nothing you have ever heard before.” It has 14 strings and Joe plays both necks simultaneously, a technique he has developed over time that continues to awe audiences around the world.
Hannah Alkire is classically trained on the cello and has won accolades worldwide for her exquisite tone and the mesmerizing emotion she puts into each performance. She’s a “tour-de-force” in cello performance with a beautiful singing voice.
