The MCC Rebel Girls were at home on Tuesday night to play one of the top teams in the Red Rock Conference. The Hills Beaver Creek Patriots are one of the most talented teams in the Conference again this season with a good mix of inside and outside players. They have the ability to score in a variety of ways which makes them a tough match up for most teams.

The Rebels repeated a game they have played much of the season – one good half and one terrible half and against most teams that won’t get you many wins.

The first half was one the Rebels would like to forget as the MCC offense struggled. The Patriots were more athletic and knew when to take advantage of the Rebels mistakes. MCC’s poor shooting and turnovers allowed the Patriots to build a big lead even if HBC wasn’t shooting all that well. The Rebels struggled to get double figures in the first half but they did as they trailed at the break 27-13.

The Patriots were led in this game by Grace Bundesen who has become one of the top scorers in the Red Rock Conference. Grace is the daughter of former MCC Rebel Stacey Hoffman. Bundesen was scoring in her mother’s old home gym. Bundesen was the games leading scorer with 19 points but she also led the game with 15 rebounds and had a pair of steals.
