Saturday afternoon is a great time to play a basketball game if its Super Saturday but most players and coaches will say its not the best time to play a regular season game. For whatever reason Saturday afternoon games dont bring the best out of players. Not sure it was just the time of the game Saturday afternoon between the Rebels and the Adrian Dragons or what it was but the Rebels would like to bottle the results of the game and sprinkled a little out for every game they play.

The MCC Rebels with two wins on the season welcomed the Adrian Dragons on Saturday hoping to pull off the win over a team that was above 500 on the season and had recently beaten opponents the Rebels have just lost too. This game was played unlike most game this season and the Rebels would puck up win number three.

The game was played at a slowed down pace. We have seen the Rebels start well this season and then fizzle in the second half just as much as we have seen them start slowly and play better in the second half. Well in this game the Rebels defense was strong all game long even if the shooting prevented the Rebels from dominating on the scoreboard. The Rebels and the Dragons struggled about as much as any two teams could struggle shooting in the first half of this game. Adrian made 3 of 26 shots in the first half good for 12% and MCC wasn’t much better making 4 of 28 shots good for 14%.
