Slayton, MN – The 2016 Minnesota 4-H State Horse Show was held at the State Fairgrounds in September. Murray County 4-H members who earned trips to state at the Murray County Fair in August were Maggie Heezen, Karlie Heezen, Kennedy Jackels, Madelyn Wendland, and Macy Posthuma, Cameron 4-H Club; Cheyenne Hulstein & Dalton Kleinjan, Chandler Hilltoppers 4-H Club; and Brianna Breuker, Bondin Belfast 4-H Club. Results from the State 4-H Horse Show:
•Maggie Heezen (10th grade division) – 10th in Western Horsemanship, Hunt Seat Equitation, and Hunt Seat Pleasure, sixth Trail Class, and 5th Speech.
•Cheyenne Hulstein (8th grade division) – fifth Western Showmanship, third Western Pleasure, fourth Western Horsemanship, third Hunt Seat Pleasure
•Macy Posthuma (eighth grade division) – second Trail, sixth Western Showmanship, fourth Hunt Seat Equitation, sixth Hunt Seat Pleasure
