Jottings by Jerry – January 30

A little more snow to start the week. Just a few inches, about 4 or so, which will keep us with plenty of fluffy snow to enjoy as it shifts around with the wind. It’s all about learning to live with it or skipping out for a few weeks just to get a breather from the winter cold and come back with the swallows. No matter, January is over this week and February is short. There will be a promise of spring. This year we shouldn’t have that foot of snow on the tulips again. Should we?

The days are getting a little longer each day and those extra minutes added to sunlight time are appreciated. Another six weeks of that and we can complain how rough March is. But first, we have the rare event of unsullied, accurate without regards to ratings, weather forecast. Saturday is Ground Hog Day. There it is, the big secret along with the current copy of The Farmers Almanac and an easy understanding of the stars. Having a trick knee also can round out your weather forecasting future. Yes, the cold and blowing snow is unmanageable.
