As has been the case in most meets this season, Murray County Central/Fulda’s varsity boys’ cross country team received a near-the-front placing by junior Justin Clarke and had its next four scoring runners finish close together as the Rebels competed in the BOLD Invitational at Olivia’s Golf Course last Thursday, October 4.

Clarke ran a third-place time of 17:13.09 over the flat 5,000-meter course to lead the Rebels who finished third among eight teams with 68 points (3-14-15-18-19). Redwood Valley won the team title with a low score of 29 points (1-4-7-8-9). Paynesville had 59 points (5-10-11-16-17) to claim second place.

Finishing behind MCC/F were Springfield / Cedar Mountain (101), Holy Family Catholic (114), BOLD / BL-H (162) and MACCRAY / RCW (174). G-F-W was incomplete.

Seniors Nathan Everson (14th, 18:08.75) and Jack Pierson (15th, 18:09.87) were closely followed by senior Spencer Wajer (18th, 18:13.12) and sophomore Maverick Beckmann (19th, 18:14.43) as all five Rebel scoring runners finished among the Top 20.
