F/MCC Warriors ended their team portion of the season on February 15th.  The Warriors wrestled Luverne Cardinals on Thursday evening in the first round of the section tournament.  Dawson Blankenship started out at 106# wrestling Riley Cowell.  With Dawson losing to Cowell earlier this season there needed to be some adjustments in Dawson’s wrestling.  Dawson came out in the first period more prepared and did not let his Luverne opponent score the first takedown this time.  Dawson countered Cowell and took him down.   With Dawson riding Cowell throughout the first period trying to put Cowell on his back, the match looked like it was going to be a close match.  But, with the constant pressure Dawson put on Cowell, Dawson cradled his opponent at the end of the period and pinned him.  The Warriors forfeited to the Cardinals at 113# and then the Cardinals forfeited to Danny Blankenship at 120#.  Next up for the Warriors was Logan Clarke at 132# against Tucker Oeltjenbruns.  Logan tried fighting Oeltjenbruns off but gave up a fall at the end of the first period.  Christian Kuball came out at 138# to wrestle Dalton DeSollar.  Christian went into the second period with a tight score.  The second period started out about the same as the first with both wrestlers scoring, but no one really taking a comfortable lead.
