The Warriors lose three duals on Thursday and Friday night

With the F/MCC Warriors being low in numbers this year.  The Warriors started their dual season off losing to St. James 78-3.  With the Warriors having their Junior High wrestlers wrestling J.V. The Warriors had two wrestlers that wrestled varsity.  Danny Blankenship started the match off against Sam Kulseth.  Danny wrestled tough against his opponent, but was pinned with one second on the clock in the second period.  Jon Gehl was the only other Warrior to wrestle that evening on varsity and it was a great match to watch.  Jon came out against a fellow senior and took it to him by controlling the whole match.  Jon won the match with a decisive 7-3 decision.

On Friday night the Warriors took to the road and traveled to Pipestone to wrestle some awfully tough competition.  The first opponent for the Warriors was Wabasso-RRC team who represented Section 3AA at the state tournament last year.  The Bobcats are looking to repeat as section champs this year.  The first Warrior to step on the mat at 106# was 7th grader Dawson Blankenship who had to wrestle against Mason Irlbeck.  With the match starting off with Irlbeck controlling the first period Dawson could not get any of his offense going.  Dawson ended up getting pinned in the 2nd period by Irlbeck.  At 120#   Danny Blankenship wrestled Alex Schmiesing.  Using only 10 seconds, Danny pinned his opponent.  The third and final wrestler for the Warriors during this dual was Jon Gehl who wrestled at 152#.  Jon went up against Cody Dudgeon and boy this match may have been low scoring, but there was a lot of action.  Jon ended up losing 2-1 in the third over time.
