The Murray County Commissioners approved the acceptance of old Christmas lights at the recycling center located at 1820 Erlandson Avenue in Slayton. There will be no charge for this service. As you are decorating for the holidays, save those old lights back and bring them to the recycle center.
This project is being spearheaded by Jon Bloemendaal, and the Murray County recycling team through the DAC.
The DAC clients will take the lights apart and recycle the components as much as possible so that there is less waste in the landfill.
