Following the two win doubleheader against the Falcons, the Rebels had another doubleheader against the Mountain Lake Area Wolverines.  In the first game of the doubleheader, the Wolverines and the Rebels were neck and neck till the end, but Mountain Lake Area got the advantage and took the first game of the two-game series.

The Rebels went up early against the Wolverines in the bottom of the first inning when they collected two runs.  Nate Everson walked to open the game and a wild pitch moved him over to second base.  Justin Benda was awarded first base when he was struck by a pitch during his at-bat.  Later, a groundout to short hit by Brandon Winter moved both runners up a base, which put both of them into scoring position.  Mason Woldt came through with a sharp single into right field that plated both Everson and Benda for a quick 2-0 lead.

The Wolverines answered in the top of the second with two runs of their own, but with one swing of the bat as Adam Karschnick smacked a two-run home run to left field that tied the game at two runs.  Both teams remained neck and neck with each other throughout the remainder of the game, up until the top of the sixth inning where the Wolverines plated one more run off a single by Drake Harder.  The Rebels had a chance in the bottom of the sixth to tie the game and force extra innings, but three quick outs with the tying run in scoring position prevented them that chance as they fell 3-2 to the Wolverines in game one.
