The Murray County Central Rebels were coming off a frustrating loss to the Adrian Dragons and for the Rebels it wasn’t a good week to have to rebound. The Rebels on Friday night had the opportunity to play not only the defending state champion Minneota Vikings they had the chance to play the current #1 ranked team in the state. After having such a frustrating game against Adrian it would be nice to say the Rebels bounced back with a terrific win over Minneota. Minneota is as good as advertised and a win was just not in the cards for the Rebels but they did have some nice moments.

The first half of the game was dominated by Minneota and more clearly two players, junior quarterback and Junior running back Isaac Hennen. Hennen is the Viking go to player if they are running the ball or if they are throwing it. Hennen will line up all over the field and at 6’3” and nearly 200 pounds he is a handful. Hennen put together an impressive all around half scoring four first half touchdowns, two as a running back and two as a receiver catching four passes for 90 yards.
