The Minnesota Hospital Association (MHA) encourages quality and safety in patient care. One of our own “Mary Mesner RN” was nominated by our Quality manager (Karen Honermann) and Pharmacy manager (Cara Mahon) for the “Good Catch Award”.
The MHA Good Catch for Patient Safety award is presented to Minnesota hospital staff who demonstrate their commitment to keeping patients safe by “speaking up” to prevent potential harm to a patient. Mary’s actions in “speaking up” prevented a possible adverse event that had the potential to directly affect patient care.
