The MCC Rebel Girls were back at home Thursday night when they played the TMB Panthers. The Panthers are one of the top teams in the area this season and have been off to a great start their season. The Panthers have had just one loss in their five games coming into the match up with the Rebels who had just one win. The Rebels showed some signs in this game, especially in the second half, but by that time the game was well in hand.

The Panthers went right at the Rebels early in the first half jumping out to a double digit lead. The Panthers featured a trio of scorers that the Rebels struggled to contain all night long. Evy Dolan, Sydney Lanoue, and Gabbie Gervais all scored in double figures and took control of the game in the first nine minutes. Dolan was aggressive not only scoring but rebounding the basketball. MCC simply had no answer for what she was doing on the floor. The Rebels struggled to score but when looking at the stats the Rebels and the Panthers had very similar numbers in rebounds, turnovers, and free throws. What separated the two teams was the Panthers shooting. They took 12 more shots than the Rebels and shot 40% from the field where the Rebels made nearly 33% of their shots in the game. The Rebels would trail at halftime 34 to 18.
