The Murray County Historical Society’s Front Porch Music Series will kick off its 2016 summer season on Thursday, July 14 at 7:00 p.m. with Jerry Ostensoe playing from the front porch of the Dinehart Holt House in Slayton, Minnesota.
This summer’s lineup includes some returning artists as well as some new ones. The concerts are free of charge and family friendly so bring the kids, a blanket, or some lawn chairs, and enjoy a nice night under the big maple trees on the lawn. The Murray County Historical Society will have popcorn and refreshments for sale during the concerts this year. A donation basket will be passed during each concert with proceeds going toward other arts and cultural programs.
