Dinehart Holt House Flashlight Tour Illuminates Victorian Superstitions and Funeral Traditions

Do you believe death always comes in threes? Do you hold your breath when you drive by a cemetery? Those Victorian superstitions, as well as stories of the Dinehart family, will be illuminated at the second annual Flashlight Tour of the Dinehart Holt House in Slayton.

Explore questions like: Who’s the mystery woman under the stairs? Did anyone die in the house?  Will there be ghosts? You decide. Will it be fun? Definitely!

The event is on Saturday, October 12 starting at 6:00 p.m. Tours will leave from the Murray County Museum and walk to the Dinehart House. Be sure to come to the museum early.

There will be an Ouija board set up and you may even get your fortune read. Treats and cider will be served.

There will be three tour times at 6:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m., and 8:30 p.m. Tours are 30-40 minutes long and focus on the intimate and untold stories of the family and the Victorian era in which they lived.
