Henry Hassman and Paul Horn presented Silver Beaver award for their noteworthy service of exceptional character by the Boy Scouts of America.
awarded Silver Beaver during Boy Scout Program
Two Slayton residents, Henry Hassman and Paul Horn, were among the recipients who were presented the Silver Beaver award during the Boy Scout ceremony past Saturday in Mitchell.

The Silver Beaver Award is a National Boy Scout Award presented through the Sioux Council for noteworthy service of exceptional character to youth by registered adult Scout leaders in the Sioux Councilís 61-county service including counties from South Dakota, Minnesota and Iowa. Sioux Council serves over 13,000 youth each year and has some 2,600 registered adult leaders.
