Teachers Recognized
BeMobile in Slayton was on hand at the recent Rebel Pride Awards Ceremony to help recognize teachers at MCC as part of the BeThankful for Teachers program. Kimberly Mannon, representative for BeMobile in Slayton, started out with sharing a few facts. One of those facts was about the school budget cuts across the country. According to the statistic, all public school teachers in the United States spent about $1.6 Billion of their own money on classroom supplies for the students. On average, each teacher will spend about $500. With the BeThankful for Teachers program, gift backs were given back to teachers for their contributions to the classroom from BeMobile Verizon Wireless in Slayton.
