By JoAnn Biren Have you ever wondered 'Why'? Why do some people find their destiny so easily while others seem to struggle for years before settling on something that will make them content? Or why does one person's work seem to fit them so perfectly while another has difficulty in doing the day-to-day of a job?

SUBMITTED PHOTOThere are many answers to the 'Why?'. Tim Biren, a 1989 graduate of Fulda High School, found his answer through prayer and discernment and help from many at the colleges he attended or the spiritual direction he sought. He now finds himself called Father Tim or 'FT' to a multitude of students on the campus of Minnesota State University, Mankato.

SUBMITTED PHOTOBiren's path to Mankato led him first to seek a degree in music and theology from St. John's University in Collegeville with an additional two years of philosophy at St. Mary's University of Winona before heading off to the major seminary at Our Lady of the Lake, Mundelein, Illinois to receive his Masters in Divinity which led to his becoming a priest for the Diocese of Winona on June 15, 1999.
