Panthers sneak out win
The MCC Rebels were back at home on Friday night to take on the always tough Ellsworth Panthers. The Panthers are once again toward the top of the Red Rock Conference because of solid fundamentals and a great knowledge of the game. The Panthers after somewhat of a down year last season have rebounded with a strong season so far, combining their good outside shooting with a pair of big men in the post that can lead the team in scoring on just about any night. The Rebels have played the better teams in the conference strong this year playing a nearly even games with Southwest Christian except for a two minute run by the Eagles, and against Mountain Lake Area the Rebels were in the game until the final ten minutes or so when the Rebels panicked. On Friday night, the Rebels went toe to toe with Ellsworth but in the end the Rebels came up on the short end of the stick.
