in win over Rebels
The MCC Rebels traveled to Hills on Thursday to play the Patriots of Hills Beaver Creek in their only matchup of the season. The Rebels and the Patriots were very evenly matched teams in size and in athletic ability. One of the biggest differences between the two teams was the aggressive nature both. The Rebels on this night were not as aggressive and it cost them. Hills Beaver Creek was looking not only for a win but a bit of history as senior guard Dylan Gehrke was looking to score his 1,000th career point. The Rebels had their chances but in the end the Patriots not only beat the Rebels, history was made.

The Rebels started this basketball game much like they did against WWG on Tuesday night struggling to score early. MCC once again turned the ball over, missed open shots, and failed to convert on good scoring opportunities.

The Patriots on the other hand scored the first seven points of the game with Carey Taubert scoring two baskets inside before picking up two fouls and being sent to the bench for the rest of the first half.
