helping homeless veterans

As we read and hear of the plight of Veterans we are focusing on those who have become homeless. The Veterans Affairs System, Volunteers of America, and Archdiocese of Sioux Falls established The Berakhah House to address this need in Sioux Falls. Homeless veterans are provided shelter, financial counsel, individual growth and employment options in a safe, respectful environment. Following their tenure at the Berakhah House they are housed in community based apartments with the goal being independent living and permanent housing.

are soliciting items for their new apartment during the month of November. These household and personal items can be dropped off at Divine Mercy Hall at St Annís Church.

The items needed are: Gently used:

Bath and kitchen towels

Sheets

Shower curtain

Laundry basket

Alarm clock

Small microwave

New items include:

Pillows

Hygiene products (shampoo, deodorant, shaving cream, toothpaste, etc)

Gift cards

Household items (pots, pans, utensils)

T-shirts, socks, shorts, sizes may vary
