discusses speed along Juniper Avenue

With a short agenda, the city council Monday night welcomed a large entourage of local Girl Scout members who were on hand to present funds raised for the purchase of playground equipment for the city.

Included in the group were Kiwanis President Dave Hollis and River Valley Girl Scout Board member Marlys Knuth, along with local Service Unit Manager Judy Bloemendaal, along with several Girl Scout members, parents and scout leaders.  A total monetary donation of $8,600 was given toward the new play park that will be installed in Bicentennial Park next spring.

Public Works Director Darwin Johnson reported that Gass Trenching has completed water line work on 28th Street
