hosts Red Rock Conference meet in Slayton

The Murray County Central Cross Country team began their post season run with the Red Rock Conference meet. The meet was held in Slayton on Monday but before the conference meet, the Rebels had one last regular meet where they traveled to Adrian earlier in the week.

At the meet in Adrian, the junior high boys ran in a 2100 meter run that featured 66 runners in grades seven and eight.

Nathan Shuck from Worthington finished first overall in that race with a time of 7:47 while Cameron Kresko was the first Rebel and he made the top 10 with a 10th place finish. His time in the meet was 8:24. Seven kids finish after Kresko and a difference of six seconds was held between those seven. Jack Peterson was among those where he finished 17th overall with a time of 8:30.

Cale Engelkes had a race to the finish with Jackson County Centralís Connor Snyder where Engelkes fell just short with a time of 10:12.

Jake Bleyenberg also had a race to the finish with Bryan Larson from MACCRA/RCW where Bleyenberg earned the win between the two with a time of 10:25.
