Recipes: Hot ‘n’ Cheesy Chicken Sandwiches; Make -Ahead Burritos; Carrot Cake Muffins
The forecast tells us we may have finally seen the last of the really hot days. Sunday I went to Currie for dinner and noticed how much some of the beans are starting to turn or was it because they were too dry. It has been a while since we have had much rain to speak of. The crops are not at the usual maturing at this time as planting was so late this year and still we see the leaves falling on some trees and even the corn and beans starting to turn brown. When we went to the Cities last week we noticed the crops were much better in our area than those we saw farther north and east. It has been an unusual year.
