Recipes: Apple Pie (Laura Ingall’s Wilder Cookbook); Easy Caramel Rolls; and Super Bread
Who would have thought school would be cancelled or let out early in August because of the weather. In Minnesota we build in snow days but surely not heat days. This year has been quite the exception and early out or cancellation was the norm this past week for those that opted for early start instead of waiting for the school year to start after Labor Day. Generally the schools in this area are not air-conditioned especially the older buildings. September weather can also be fickle, I know. Mary was born on the 17th and the weather was similar as this past week. We have also attended the Clay County Fair when it may have been the same and then again there were years we needed heavy coats. I know people that appreciate the changing of the seasons who tell us weather can be so monotonous if it is the same every day.
