Mulberry trees; mosquitoes; celebrations
The Mulberry trees are ripening and have been for the last week. They will continue for awhile but the picking goes pretty slow even if you can beat the birds. The few trees I know of are producing extremely well this year. Enjoy them.

It's also a great year for mosquitoes with plenty to go around for everyone. The evenings are owned by the persistent little blood suckers. Makes you appreciate the dry year we had last year.

The Christmas in July celebration this week in Adrian offers entertainment and food. Friday night is ribs and rims cruise in car show. Saturday is a full day of events ending with the duck races. Parade time is 7 PM and food 11 AM to 10 PM. It's a good time. We will see you there

Speaking of celebrations the pie at Edgerton last Saturday was great. The coconut cream pie with the mile high meringue was only equaled by the lemon meringue, French silk meringue and I believe a butterscotch meringue. All the others were available thru the alphabet starting with apple, blueberry, cherry, pecan, strawberry. I will go again but start on the pie earlier. Ok, the parade was good to.

Ole says the three stages of marriage are like this: First stage, he talks, and she listens. Then, SHE talks, and HE listens. The final stage is...they both talk, and the NEIGHBORS listen.

Have a good week.
