SPD on the beat

The Slayton Police Department (SPD) received a request from an adult male in the 2400 block of Broadway Avenue at 12:04 on the afternoon of June 17, 2014 to assist in removing an unwelcomed person from an establishment. SPD responded, and the individual left without incident. SPD had also advised the individual to not return.

Report of a large dog that had wandered into the Murray County Medical Center (MCMC) Clinic was received at 1:15 that afternoon. SPD picked up a yellow lab that was transported to the vet clinic.

SPD investigated a child custody dispute in the 2400 block of Ironwood Avenue at 2:54 in the afternoon. The matter was mediated, and SPD advised those involved of their options.

Request for a welfare check on an adult male in the 2600 block of 23rd Street was received from the Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Office at 5:09 that evening. SPD made contact with the adult male who was all right. SPD also spoke with the adult male’s guardian regarding the matter.
