Slayton City Council

June 12, 2013

votes to purchase a new plow truck
By: Kristel Nelson Murray County News Staffwriter

On Monday, June 3rd Darwin Johnson presented the Slayton City Council with specs for a new plow truck. The quote for a base chassis from Astleford International Trucks was in the amount of $78,320.00. Darwin also presented a quote from Monroe Truck Equipment for a Crysteel Municipal Dump Body along with a Monroe Full Trip Reversible Plow for $49,200.00. These quotes were both approved by the council.

Since the city is ready to start trimming trees in the boulevards there were a couple quotes gathered. These included Carlson Tree Service and Peschges Tree Service. Darwin and City Clerk, Josh Malchow, sought approval of both quotes so the job could be completed in a timely manner. Josh also noted that this would be reimbursable through FEMA. The council approved both quotes.
