Tanner Nepp - picked the perfect time of the season to earn a new personal best with his toss of 52’ 3 3/4” which earned him a state championship medal.

It wasn’t his first time at the State meet, but Rebel Senior Tanner Nepp recently brought home a big piece of hardware from the State Track meet this past weekend. Nepp competed in the shot put and brought home the state championship in that event with a throw of 52’ 3.75 inches. Dustin Gill of LeSueur-Henderson finished behind him with a heave of 51’ 11.25 inches. The throw of 52’ 3.75” was Nepp’s personal best for the season and his career, but despite all the attempts he made, it’s the experience and the feeling he got when he threw that he feels will stick with him the most. “State is an amazing feeling!” Nepp stated. “After I threw it, it felt amazing.
