After a nice win agianst the Southwest United Wildcats, the Rebels softball squad was back in action for their first home game of the season. The Rebels hosted the Edgerton/SWC Flying Dutchman in one of the biggest conference games that the Rebels will have all year. Despite a great battle, the Rebels fell short, 4-3.

Starting pitcher Ashley Clarke had a great first inning in the circle for the Rebels. The first two batters she faced she struck out for two quick outs. Though Jessica Menning hit a double and Tanner Gunnink was walked after the two strikeouts, Clarke came back and got Ciarra Everett to strike out swinging for the third out in the inning.

In the bottom half of the inning, the Rebels took the lead right away.
