compete in first meet of season

Just like any spring sport, Mother Nature was finally kind enough to allow the season to start. The MCC Rebels golf team was affected to the point that they havenít even held a practice at the Slayton Country Club. On Monday, April 29th, their first time on any golf course for this season happened to be their first meet at Prairie View Golf Links in Worthington when they took on Worthington and Pipestone. Though they wre forced to stay indoors all this time, one thing that didnít change was their high level of competition they gave to other teams as they shot low scores for their first time out.

The girls team struggled at times, but were very solid at other points in the nine hole contest. Rebekah Nysetvold didnít let the difficult holes overtake herself as the match went on, however. During her first six holes, she was able to keep her score between one and three strokes over par.
