The Slayton Police Department (SPD) received a report at 8:02 on the morning of April 3, 2013 from an adult female who was bitten by a dog in the 2300 block of 20th Street. The dog was impounded at the vet clinic. Charges are pending against the dog’s owner for allowing an animal to be at large and allowing a potently dangerous animal to be at large. A state animal bite report was filed.

Report of a dog at large in the 2700 block of Juniper Avenue was received at 8:23 that night. The dog was picked up and transported to the vet clinic.

April 4

Report of a dog at large in the 2900 block of Maple Avenue was received at 8:57 on the morning of April 4, 2013. SPD responded to the location and patrolled the area, but the dog was not located.
