Memorial Services will be held at St. Columba Church in Iona, MN on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. James Seitz officiating.

Vern Crowley was born on March 6, 1956 in Slayton, Minnesota to Clem and Alvina Disch Crowley.  He grew up in Iona and graduated from Slayton High School in 1975.  On October 23, 1976 he and Vicki Arends were married at the First Reformed Church in Slayton, MN.  Following their marriage they made their home in Slayton and Vern worked for Avoca Spray Service.  In 1985 they moved to a farm near Slayton where Vern farmed.  Vern passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2013 at his home near Slayton at the age of 57.  He was a member of St. Columba Church in Iona.  Vern enjoyed farming, stock car racing, playing cards and riding motorcycle. 

Survivors include his wife, Vicki Crowley of Slayton, MN, daughter, Bobbi Schoolmeester and her husband, Mike of Chandler, MN, one son, Mark Crowley of Iona, MN, five grandchildren Austin and Emma Schoolmeester, Addison Speckmier, and Deanna and Laina Crowley, his mother, Alvina Crowley of Iona, MN, parents-in-law, Robert and Gladys Arends of Slayton, MN, eight brothers and sisters and their spouses, Lionel and Marilyn Crowley of Madison, WI, Rodney and Monica Crowley of Bloomington, MN, Sheila and Jerry Dropp of Hibbing, MN Carin and Larry Knutson of Mount Vernon, TX, Alane Lorenzen of Slayton, MN, Cleo and Greg Albertson of Henderson, NV, Dean and Linda Crowley of Canby, MN and Clayton and Patti Crowley of Slayton, MN, and one sister-in-law, Diane Guth of south Lake Tahoe, CA.  He is preceded in death by his father, Clem Crowley, brother-in-law, Richard Arends, maternal grandparents, Joseph and Elizabeth Disch and paternal grandparents, William and Anna Crowley.

Memorial Services will be held at St. Columba Church in Iona, MN on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. James Seitz officiating.  The organist is Sharon Lais.  The song leaders are Penny Platt and Pam Ford.  Honorary pallbearers are his grandchildren.  Interment is at Slayton Memorial Gardens, Slayton, MN.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at the St. Columba Church in Iona from 4-7 p.m. with a rosary at 4:30 p.m. visitation will also be one hour prior to the services at the church on Thursday. Totzke Funeral Home of Slayton is entrusted with arrangements.  To send condolences visit
