Breezy Point prepares for spring opening
Murray County Board of Commissioners held a public hearing on Tuesday, March 19 to receive comment on issuing a new liquor license for Breezy Point Tavern, LLC. Charles and Verna Loosbrock recently purchased the property and are remodeling the barn with plans to have it open this spring. Long range plans are to have an expanded menu, outdoor patio and/or tiki bar. Business hours are 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. and six or seven days a week. There was no public comment and the board approved the licenses for liquor “On and Off Sale”, 3.2 malt liquor “Off Sale” and a dance permit. These are the first new licenses approved in over 20 years by the county.
