Roaring winds and a little snow Sunday night, Monday and maybe the rest of the week. The temperatures reached the high teens but it FEELS LIKE temperatures are 18-29 degrees colder. And that's the numbing part. The sun however is gaining strength and you can notice it quietly thawing the snow and ice around the edges while you are freezing. The sun has the power to make everyone feel good in the spring, and as we all know the next Vernal Equinox is Wednesday at 6:01 A.M. The tight grip of winters icy hands will slip away. The temperature for Wednesday will be a high of 21 degrees and the low will be 4 degrees and that in sunny southern Minnesota. Possibly by Friday we will break the freezing mark during the day.

Little Pete came home from the playground with a bloody nose, black eye, and torn clothing. It was obvious he’d been in a bad fight and lost. While his father was patching him up, he asked his son what happened.

“Well, Dad,” said Pete, “I challenged Larry to a duel. And, you know, I gave him his choice of weapons.”

“Uh-huh,” said the father, “that seems fair.”

“I know, but I never thought he’d choose his sister!”
