The MCC Rebels were in Westbrook for the second time in six days to play the Chargers. It was the third matchup between the two teams this season with WWG winning the first two games in competitive games. The Rebels were hoping for a win and the opportunity to play in Super Saturday in Worthington Saturday afternoon. The Rebels matched up well with the Chargers with neither team having much size. With size not being a real advantage for either team it came down to execution and the Rebels found themselves in trouble.
The first nine minutes of the game the two teams played a pretty close back and forth game. The Chargers led most of the time but the Rebels were right there in a close game. The Rebels came within one point at 21 to 20 and they had four possessions to take the lead and failed to do so. That is when the Chargers turned on the offense.
