| Kolander awed by Lands of the Bible Tour |

“Every where that we went, if we weren’t exactly sure where our group was, all we had to do was look for the chartreuse colored flag that our tour leader held. | |

Although he had long dreamt about taking a trip to the Holy Lands, Robert Kolander, Fulda, didn’t really think that it would ever happen. The wish was that “someday” he would be able to travel to the areas of the world were Jesus lived out his thirty-three years of life on earth.
Kolander’s dream came true when daughter Diane Zanter, and husband Richard, made arrangements for the three of them to embark on a Lands of the Bible Tour on Royal Caribbean International’s Cruise Ship the Mariner of the Sea. They left Minneapolis and flew to Philadelphia and from there into Rome, Italy.
Two days of touring were spent in Rome, “We stayed at the Holiday Inn in Rome,” Kolander shared. “There is also a Burger King there that we saw. But being in the courtyard of the Vatican was truly a wonderful experience. You know, you see it on television, but to stand there and see it and experience all of the things that we hear about really makes it come real to you.”
