February 27, 2013

February 13 through February 19
February 13

The Slayton Police Department (SPD) found a cane in the roadway at the intersection of 28th Street and King Avenue at 10:13 on the morning of February 13, 2013 while on routine patrol. The cane had the owner’s name and address on it. SPD made arrangements to get the cane back to its owner.

SPD received a 911 call from an individual in the 2200 block of Broadway Avenue at 1:31 that afternoon regarding a friend who paid rent then moved. SPD advised the caller of options, and that this was a civil matter. The caller was also advised of consequences of using 911 for non-emergency calls.

Assistance was made to Murray County Ambulance (MCA) with an adult female in the 2400 block of Linden Avenue at 3:22 in the afternoon. Medical care was provided, and the adult female was transported to Murray County Medical Center (MCMC).
