The Slayton Police Department (SPD) was contacted at 9:53 on the morning of February 6, 2013 by an adult male of Little Canada, Minnesota who was seeking his lost wallet. The caller indicated he thought the wallet may have been lost in Slayton, and he wondered if a found wallet had been reported. SPD informed the caller no wallet had been reported found. Information was gathered about the matter, and SPD advised the caller he would be contacted if the wallet was found.
An adult male in the 2600 block of Norwood Avenue reported at 11:03 his dog had escaped and was at large. SPD responded to the area and assisted the caller collect his dog.
SPD was called to a business in the 2600 block of Broadway Avenue at 2:24 that afternoon to investigate a possibly forged check. The check was determined to be forged. It was added to an ongoing check forgery investigation. An adult male and an adult female suspects were arrested in Iowa for check forgery. Warrants for their arrest are being obtained.
