MCC's MathCounts team recently earned a third place trophy in the 2013 MathCounts competition held at SMSU in Marshall, Minnesota. The competition is sponsored by the Minnesota Society of Professional Engineers. Over the past eight years, MCC has earned three 3rd place trophies, one 2nd place trophy and two 1st place trophies. Eleven teams and more than 100 individuals participated in the regional event.
“In addition to placing third in our division, we also earned the trophy for most improved team, I was once again very pleased with the overall performance of our team,” stated MCC MathCounts coach Mr. Carlson. MCC MathCoutns team members for 2013 were Zach Aanenson, Maggie Heezen, Tyler Larsen, Katie Thorson, and Brendan Tjeerdsma. |
