makes priority list for State | |

The Slayton City Council Monday night a resolution prioritizing its recommendations to the State legislature for consideration in this year's session.
First on the list is funding local government aid (LGA). Continued reductions, the council pointed out, "will not afford the city of Slayton to continue to provide critical services in the future." The resolution says that the council supports an increase in the LGA appropriation to a level that would have been provided prior to the 2003 cuts in aid, as well as a strong state-local partnership.
