Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. Those three terms have been a meaningful phrase to the American public for generations, but most citizens think of it as a purposeful action. An action that motivates people to fight towards minimizing the garbage totals and hopefully eliminate pollution as a cause of the garbage. This past Thursday, students in the Murray County Central 4th grade class listened and took part in a presentation by the Prairie Ecology Bus that helped students learn about reducing, reusing, and recycling, and take part in the 3-R Challenge.
As garbage service has become more and more available for people, the problems caused at the landfills have grown as a result. Crystal Dunker and Alisha Flemming began the presentation by telling the students what were some of the problems arising in the landfills.
