The MCC Rebels were in Okabena on Thursday night to take on the Wildcats for the first time. Both the Rebels and the Wildcats had similar records with both teams having won two games going into the contest. The Rebels were 2-6 on the year while the Wildcats were 2-5. The biggest difference between the two teams was the size the Wildcats had. Southwest United used that size and some quickness to dominate the offensive glass as the Rebels lost their fourth game in a row.
The first three possessions made the game look like it might be a high scoring shoot out. The Wildcats started the game with a two to nothing lead on a shot down low. The Rebels followed with a three pointer by Sam Erickson to put the Rebels ahead three to two and seconds later Aaron Fest made a three point shot as well, which gave the Wildcats the lead five to three.
