Over the weekend, the Fulda/Murray County Central Warrior wrestling team made another trip to South Dakota, that time to compete in Harrisburg in the Tiger Invite. Out of the 16 teams present in the tournament, the Warriors were able to place fifth overall, with 10 individual wrestlers placing in the top six.

Jon Gehl was the first to place for the Warriors and he did so with out winning a match. In fact, he was positioned just right that he was able to use the bye rounds to get to a placing round. Despite falling three times, he was still able to claim sixth place in the tournament.

Clayton Hartle had a good run up until the championship match. Hartle started his run with a bye and later met up with Blake Konstanz from Scotland. In that match, Hartle used about half the time given to flip Konstanz over on his back and was awarded with the pin. Jared Lyle from Beresford was a great match for Hartle as it was very close up to the end. When the final buzzer sounded, Hartle was able to advance with a 4-3 decision. In the final match, Kahlen Morris from Sioux Falls Roosevelt was a bit much for Hartle. Morris went on to win by technical fall, 18-3, which gave Hartle second place.
