Alyssa Boynton earned first place in the Spelling Bee while Celeste Aamodt earned second and will be the alternate to Boynton.
Top five honors at the Spelling Bee included: Alyssa Boynton, Celeste Aamodt, Jack Pierson, Cameron Kresko and Cole Ahlers.
A top seven was determined that included two alternates for the team round later at the regional competition.: Cameron Kresko, Jack Pierson, Cole Ahlers, Alyssa Boynton, Celeste Aamodt, and alternates Montana Beckmann and Rachel Siedschlag.
Before the top seven was determined, a written round was held with 30 words.
The 4th Grade students also took part in the Spelling Bee where they were mainly shown what it’s like for next year when they can compete for the regional rounds. Taking first place was Charlie Peterson and Dante Damm took second.
