| appoints committee members; discuss hours | |

The Slayton city council Monday night administered the oath of office to elected officials Mayor Miron Carney and Council members Kristie Blankenship and Chris Jacobson. It then approved various appointments and duties for the new year. The following official corporate signers were designated: Mayor Carney, Vice Mayor Kristie Blankenship, City Clerk/Adminstrator Josh Malchow and Deputy Clerk Kari Carlson. First National and MNWest banks were designated as the city's official depositories, while the Murray County Editorial Group the official newspaper, with a bid of $10.80.
