The Slayton Police Department (SPD) responded at 2:34 on the afternoon of December 19, 2012 to an automated fire alarm in the 2100 block of Ironwood Avenue. There was no fire when SPD arrived. The alarm turned out to be false. Things were determined to be all right.
Multiple harassing telephone calls were reported from the 2400 block of Linden Avenue at 3:20 that afternoon. More than 15 harassing calls had been received. SPD determined the calls were from a law firm seeking an individual who no longer lived at the residence. SPD contacted the law firm that was advised the person they were seeking was no longer residing at the location. SPD also advised the law firm that if the calls continue, criminal charges would be filed against them.
Assistance was made to Murray County Ambulance (MCA) at 5:45 that evening in the 2700 block of Pine Avenue with an adult male who had fallen and broken his ankle. Medical care was provided, and the patient was transported to Murray County Medical Center (MCMC) for treatment.
