The beginning of a new year is an opportunity not to be passed by. 2013 offers boundless potential to be involved with snow. It goes well beyond a well shoveled walk, transcends a clean driveway and approaches bliss equaled only by the nature of winter. It is possible to miss that feeling or completely overlook the joy of fresh snow. You’re thinking that this is so much malarkey and you may be right. The snow is a fresh blanket on the landscape. If there is a bad side to this, it's the wind which is constantly rearranging the soft covering of snow. No doubt you have your own feelings on snow and Minnesota winters.
The year 2012 has held happiness and moments of deep sorrow for families, communities and a nation. Hopes and fears were met head on and handled the best way that could be managed. The new year is viewed with planning and trust that will give us hope and understanding.
